We mine the fleet of 2023 Model X cars we are aware of, looking for the current live software versions being run in each car. Whena new software version is released, it may only be for a specific subset of cars, maybe the 2021+ Model S cars, and while you may see a lot of active discussion about a software release, it is simply not rolling out to your car at present. We also list the latest map versions for each region.
The data are the live statistics and are continually updated. We use that data to bring you the key stats. The results can be filtered by model, year, or both.

Tesla traditional naming convention is year.week.xx which will help you age approximately any version, although Tesla do tend to slip over the course of the year. 2022.8 would be around the 8th week of the 2022, or February/March 2022, whereas 2022.44 would ordinarily be October/November but actually came out in December. New version of the maps tend to come out every 6-8 months so using the week number you can estimate when the next version should be due by adding 26 - 34 to the week number. NA is currently showing as week 28, adding 26 takes us to 54 (or week 2 in the next year), adding 34 takes us 62 (week 10 in the next year) so we should expect a new release in Q1 2023 for the NA market.
